Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 14 October 2026

These terms apply when you visit the Pocket Mentor website or buy anything from us. By placing an order you agree to them, so please read them before you buy. Nothing in these terms takes away any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

1. About us

Pocket Mentor ("we", "us", "our") is an online store based in Victoria, Australia, that sells digital ebooks. You can contact us at flebcooks@gmail.com.

2. What you are buying

  • Our products are digital ebooks and ebook packs. Nothing physical is shipped.
  • Each product page describes what you get, including which titles are in a pack.
  • Pack images that show ebooks on phones, tablets or e-readers are for illustration only. No device is included.

3. Our ebooks are general information, not advice

Our ebooks are written to inform and encourage. They contain general information only. They are not financial, investment, tax, legal, medical, psychological, parenting or other professional advice, and they don't take your personal circumstances, goals or needs into account.

  • Before you make a financial, legal, health or family decision, talk to a qualified professional who knows your situation.
  • We don't promise any particular result, such as saving a certain amount, finding a job or improving a relationship.
  • Decisions you make after reading our ebooks are your own responsibility.
  • Information was believed to be accurate when it was written, but laws, rates, products and research change, so some details may go out of date.
  • If you are in crisis or worried about your safety or someone else's, call 000 in an emergency, or Lifeline on 13 11 14.

4. Prices and payment

  • Prices are in Australian dollars (AUD) and include GST where GST applies.
  • Payment is processed securely at checkout by Shopify and its payment partners. We don't see or store your full card details.
  • Your order is accepted when your payment is confirmed and we send you an order confirmation.
  • If a product is shown at the wrong price because of an obvious error, we may cancel the order and refund what you paid in full. We will tell you if this happens.
  • We may change our prices at any time, but a change won't affect an order you have already placed.

5. Discounts, multi-buys and packs

  • Multi-buy discounts are applied automatically at checkout when your cart qualifies.
  • Unless an offer says otherwise, multi-buy discounts apply to individual ebooks only (not packs), can't be combined with other discounts, and can't be exchanged for cash.
  • Packs are sold as a single product at a bundled price.
  • We may change or end any offer at any time. This won't affect an order you have already placed.

6. Delivery

  • Ebooks are delivered digitally once your payment is confirmed, by a download link after checkout, by email to the address you give us, or both.
  • Please make sure your email address is correct. We aren't responsible for delays caused by an incorrect address or your email provider's spam filter, but we'll resend your ebook if you contact us.
  • If you haven't received your ebook within 24 hours of ordering, email us with your order number and we'll sort it out.
  • Download links may expire or allow a limited number of downloads, so please save your files once you receive them. If you lose them, contact us and we'll do our best to help.
  • You are responsible for having a device and software that can open the file format described on the product page.

7. Your licence to read our ebooks

When you buy an ebook, you get a personal, non-transferable licence to read it. Buying an ebook doesn't give you ownership of its content. You may:

  • download it and read it on devices you own or use;
  • keep backup copies for yourself; and
  • print one copy for your own personal use.

Unless we give you written permission, you may not:

  • share, give away, lend, sell, resell, rent or sublicense the ebook or any part of it;
  • upload it to a website, file-sharing service, shared drive, group chat or social media;
  • copy, reproduce, translate, adapt or republish its content, except for short quotes with credit, as the law allows for purposes such as review;
  • use it, or any part of it, to train, fine-tune or feed an artificial intelligence or machine learning system; or
  • remove or change any copyright notice, or try to get around any technical protection on the file.

Each licence is for one person. If you'd like to use an ebook with a class, workplace, course or other group, please ask us first. If you break these licence terms, your licence ends and you must delete your copies, and we may take action to protect our rights.

8. Intellectual property

All content on this website and in our ebooks, including text, covers, images, logos and design, is owned by or licensed to Pocket Mentor. You may only use it as these terms allow. You may not use the Pocket Mentor name or logo without our written permission.

9. Refunds and faulty files

Our ebooks come with guarantees that can't be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. If there is a major failure, you can choose a refund or a replacement. If there is a problem that isn't a major failure, we will fix it, usually by sending you a working file, or give you a refund if we can't.

Because ebooks are delivered straight away and can't be returned, we don't give refunds or exchanges if you simply change your mind, order the wrong title or no longer want it. This doesn't limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

  • If a file won't open, is damaged, is missing content or isn't what was described, email us with your order number and a short description of the problem.
  • If you accidentally buy the same ebook twice, tell us within 14 days and we'll refund the duplicate.
  • Refunds go back to your original payment method, for the amount you actually paid after any discount.
  • If we refund an ebook, your licence to it ends and you must delete your copies.
  • Please contact us before raising a dispute or chargeback with your bank, so we have a chance to fix the problem.

10. Our liability

  • Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law, or any other law, that can't be excluded.
  • Apart from those rights, and to the extent the law allows, we provide our website and ebooks "as is" and exclude all other warranties, conditions and guarantees.
  • To the extent the law allows, our liability for failing to meet a guarantee is limited, at our choice, to supplying the ebook again or refunding what you paid for it.
  • To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, income, savings, data or opportunity, including loss arising from decisions you make based on our content.
  • To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.

11. Using our website

  • You must be at least 18, or have a parent's or guardian's permission, to buy from us.
  • You agree to give accurate details at checkout and not to use the website for anything unlawful, fraudulent or harmful.
  • You must not copy or scrape the website, try to access parts of it you aren't meant to, or interfere with how it works.
  • We may refuse or cancel an order, or stop someone from using the website, if we reasonably suspect fraud, misuse or a breach of these terms. If we cancel an order before you receive the ebook, we'll refund what you paid.
  • We work to keep the website available and accurate, but we can't guarantee it will always be available or free of errors.

12. Third-party services and links

Our store runs on Shopify, and payments are handled by third-party payment providers. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to their services. Links to other websites are provided for convenience, and we aren't responsible for their content.

13. Feedback and reviews

If you send us feedback, a suggestion or a review, you allow us to use, publish and share it to improve and promote our products, without payment to you. If we publish a review, we won't change its meaning.

14. Privacy

We handle your personal information as described in our Privacy Policy.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, for example when we add new products or the law changes. Updated terms will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date. The terms in place when you placed an order apply to that order.

16. General

  • These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and disputes may be heard in the courts of Victoria. If you live elsewhere in Australia, you keep any right you have to bring a claim where you live.
  • If any part of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the rest of the terms still apply.
  • If we don't enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later.
  • You can't transfer your rights under these terms to anyone else. We may transfer ours, for example if the business is sold, as long as your rights aren't reduced.
  • These terms, our Privacy Policy and the product description at the time of purchase make up the whole agreement between you and us.
